PADI’s RTO has recently added two new first aid units to its scope of registration with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

  •  HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults and applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
  • HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation and applies to workers who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance.
