Originally from Venezuela, Simon is IDC Staff Instructor now based at Southport on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

As an IDC Staff Instructor I have had the opportunity to see how scuba diving has influenced and changed people’s life including myself. With passion for this industry, I consider that becoming an authorised PADI RTO Trainer is the next logical step in order to open broader opportunities to share experiences while providing nationally recognised training.

Since I noticed that PADI RTO has developed systems and procedures to assist, support and encourage PADI Instructors to delivery accredited training while consistently achieving high quality outcomes, I identified a win win relationship.”                                                               Simon Madrid Rivas
