Congratulations Andrew Kerans, new PADI RTO Trainer. Andrew became a PADI RTO Trainer in May 2015.

A PADI Master Instructor, Andrew lives on Magnetic Island, has a PhD from James Cook University and currently researches coastal morphology due to sea level rise using late Holocene evidence stored in oyster fossils and cyclone beach ridges.

Andrew Kerans“I have been proud to be a PADI member for 28 years and PADI is still amazing in supporting the needs of marine researchers through the Nationally Recognised unit of competency AHCLPW305A Perform Diving for Scientific Purposes. As a researcher myself, I use the AHCLPW305A Perform Diving for Scientific Purposes unit of competency and teach this and associated first aid courses, to divers that need it for their own research. PADI provides a wonderful platform for that and I am very excited about the opportunities that being a PADI RTO Trainer offers.”
